Bio
Lei Gu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Systems Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania. His research focuses on power electronics and energy conversion, with an emphasis on compact, efficient circuits and systems for emerging technologies.
Lei received his Ph.D. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and his B.Eng. from the Harbin Institute of Technology. Before joining Penn, he worked at Apple, and he is currently a visiting researcher with NVIDIA Research. His work has been recognized with the NSF CAREER Award, the IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics Prize Paper Award, and several best paper awards from IEEE conferences.
